Basel International Community Church seeks a motivated and experienced communications director and podcast producer. BICC is an English-language, international, nondenominational, self-governing, and elder-led local congregation. As per definition, Basel International Community Church is an Association (“Verein”) according to Swiss law (Art.60 to 79, ZGB), located in Basel. The court of jurisdiction is Basel-Stadt.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Communications Director & Podcast Producer, you will be working with a dedicated team to strategize, plan, and execute marketing efforts to grow the church, create awareness in the community, and expand the audience and revenue stream for the podcast channel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate communicative efforts within the church and extend communication with the English-speaking community in Basel.
- Work with talents on the development and production of the Podcast channel.
- Develop marketing plans to measure the effectivity of the strategies that were intended to raise the profile of the church and broadcasts.
- Develop new and innovative strategies to engage and build up the community both in person an online, as well as and raise awareness of the church and podcast channel.
- Develop a paid strategy to support growth benchmarks.
- Ensure that all podcast ads are running smoothly and effectively.
- Improve the podcast channel’s performance by monitoring, evaluation, and providing recommendations.
- Partner with stakeholders across to build and sustain successful podcasts, including periodic check-ins with communications, engagement, and editorial teams to assess performance.
- Support the development and production of live podcasts.
- Lead the promotion of the podcasts shows.
REQUIREMENTS
Require Diploma/degree in Journalism
Excellent English oral and written skills
- Previous experience in communications and marketing.
- Solid understanding of the podcast industry.
- The ability to collaborate and work with diverse people.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
